Aquaman Detailing, an Astropreneur, used Launch by 328 Studios to obtain their LLC and other services for their new small business. Aquamen provides car wash and detailing services so your car looks its absolute best. As a mobile business, Aquamen brings expertise, attention to detail, and convenience directly to your home or workplace.
Challenge
As a new entrepreneur embarking on their business journey, Aquamen approached us to create a visual identity that mirrors the quality and attention they invest in each car. In a saturated market with numerous detailing businesses, how can we craft a distinctive visual identity that sets Aquamen apart from the crowded industry?
Stategy
Our logos and icons are crafted from scratch, completely avoiding the use of clip art. This commitment became even more crucial during our research when we discovered the majority logos in the industry we saw relied on clip art: cars, buffers, and hoses.
We embraced "Aquamen Detailing" and drew inspiration from Aquaman himself, incorporating his iconic trident. Through various renditions, we refined the trident to convey not just power, but also an inviting aesthetic, achieved by incorporating curves and rounded edges.
To capture the aquatic theme, we chose a palette of greens and blues, resonating with the oceanic feel. Beyond aquatic tones, these colors seamlessly complement our beachy vibe, reflected in the chosen typography and soon to be the verbal identity.
For the brand archetype, we opted for the "Jester," embodying a fun-loving, laid-back surfer vibe—one always at the beach. While our initial tagline, "Sun's Out, Suds Out," was unfortunately in use, we pivoted to our first idea, "Suds Up." Just as "Surf's Up" signifies ideal waves for surfing, "Suds Up" captures the perfect moment for a car wash covered in foamy sudsy goodness.
